What is Neon Rain?

    Neon Rain is a 2D top down shooter game that's all about managing your 'corruption'! 

   The more enemies you kill, the more corruption you gain - giving you both some powerful buffs, and nasty debuffs! (which is WIP!)

    This is truly just a passion project of mine used as an attempt to both learn the Unity game engine as well as to just be able to release a game fully. Right now we are in the early stages of development and there is much to be added but I'd like to start getting some feedback a little bit earlier so we now have a playable demo!

    Be aware, the tuning of a lot of things is still kind of all over the place as the game is still in its very early stages. The next version released will include a lot more!

Manage Your Corruption

    As you progress further into the game managing you corruption will become important. There are 5 different tiers of corruption each having their own benefits and downsides. 

    (right now what the tiers do is work in progress!)

Play How You Want

    With each level, you'll be able to pick any upgrade from 3 choices, allowing you to make any kind of build you'd like! The next version of this game will also include something called an "Augment Station" which will just simply cost gold. (No spoilers!)

(Upgrades and their tuning is currently work in progress as well.)

"When will this be done?"

    So currently I'm considering this game in early beta. Which means I have a lot to do. I hope I can fully release this game before the end of the year. I am in v0.51107b currently. To explain all the numbers

v0  (first number is actual release, so it won't be v1 until finished)

v0.1 (major patches/updates, so v0.2xxxxx will have more things added)

v0.10626 (mm/dd of minor patch - so June 26th -- 06/26)

v0.10626a (a - alpha/prototype || b - beta || no letter - out of development)

Which means I have a lot to do. That's kind of the naming system I'm coming up for game development patches/releases. This is the 2nd as far as versions go for this game, as the 1st build I made was v0.10620a.
